“Whenever two or more are gathered…” is usually associated with devotional practices. It is also very evident in the practice of healing as well as other phenomena. When two or more coals or logs are in close proximity they reflect the heat of one another, increasing it dramatically. Similarly, having someone else reflect back to you the love and healing that is radiated through consciousness, connection, and by stepping into the realm of Nonduality creates a field infinitely more potent.
I have been blessed over the past few years with an amazing healing partner.
While our relationship has undergone its share of trials, tribulations and physical separation by several thousand miles, the healing continues to flourish and grow. Both of us receive tremendous benefits from our phone time together and what we learn, in turn, benefits all those who entrust us with their care.
Rather than it being a case where the ego deceives me into believing that I’m actually doing the healing, I release that notion and surrender to the Divine Presence and I simply sit back and watch healing unfold. Often I “see” the root of a problem in my mind’s eye and then I see it shift, nothing more. It is simply my internal visual request and silent prayer of Divinity which invite change. “Thy Will, Oh Lord, Not Mine” is the accompanying mantra. If in fact a change does take place it’s more along the lines of; “what one hold in mind tends to manifest, as long as local conditions allow”. Local conditions include genetics and Karma.
A partner often brings neutrality to those issues which may hold some energy for us and depending upon their level of non-attachment, bring a whole new perspective on things. It helps of course if both parties can muscle test in order to nail down certain issues, not the least of which is Karmic patterns. It is much easier to reach a clear understanding when two people are muscle testing. This of course may also prompt a bit of thymic thumping to clear the acupuncture systems before there is a consensus, but without that second opinion, one never knows for sure when one is being led astray by the ego’s deceptive nature. I have learned to seek a second opinion on certain subjects due to my own wishes in those arenas.
In essence, all of my client sessions are partnerships. Together we open to the space of Nonduality from which the miraculous can unfold. Even if it is not a conscious volition on the client’s part, the energy field which opens, envelops both of us, and I am often graced by my own healing, in the process.
The biggest lesson for me over the years has been the release of the ego’s illusion that it’s actually doing something. While it would like to claim credit for that which happens and blame the other party that which doesn’t, it really is in the hands of the Divine within each of us as to the outcome. If the energy that moves through me assists someone in shifting something, then it is simply the consequence of the Karmic inheritance of both of us. In essence I don’t do anything. It is an act of grace and the details are way beyond my comprehension.
“So how do we best serve ourselves and others?” The highest gift that one can give another is to lovingly see them for the Divinity that they are, and hold that vision for them; to see them as whole. The nature of the outcome is not in our hands to begin with, and what constitutes healing may simply be the realization of the oneness with Divinity.
