Once a thought surfaces, it goes forth into the universe only to eventually return to its source. Reportedly, these thought forms cannot be destroyed once they are birthed and launched into existence, as they are recorded within the consciousness of the field, or what is known in some parlance as the akashic records. However, they can be denied energy and replaced by other more desirable thought forms.
When there are multiple thought forms pertaining to a common theme, they create a pattern or program which is then capable of creating and fuelling more of the same. These aggregates, in turn can form attractor fields or patterns. Attractor fields are what guide flocks of birds, schools of fish and are the cause of reoccurring things in our life such as accidents, abuse, etc. When enough people share similar patterns which congregate in the collective unconscious they create what have been categorized as Archetypes.
The late, 20th Century Christian Mystic, Dr. Stlylianos Atteshlis, a.k.a. “Daskalos”, categorized thought forms into two basic types: Those that were unconsciously formed by desires (emotions) followed by thought and those which were formed by intention and then fueled by desires. He called all thought forms Elementals, although that term is classically used to demote nature spirits or devas.
These thought forms are the filter or overlay through which we interpret our surrounding reality, creating our world view. If we think a particular race of people are untrustworthy and out to steal our possession, then we will view all of those we encounter with suspicion. The same goes for food, clothing, religion, the opposite sex, and everything else in life. The seemingly endless content of our ego/minds are simply one huge supply of thought forms. They comprise our greatest strengths and our greatest weaknesses. Whether it’s the assurance that we can or the program of we can’t, they are there in our subconscious, often driving the bus, obscuring our Divine Nature.
Noted psychiatrist and spiritual teacher, Dr. David R. Hawkins has stated in numerous writings, lectures and recordings, that: “beneath all illness is, unconscious guilt, coupled with specific beliefs and compounded by suppressed emotions”. The first two are Thought Forms and the last, particular biochemical reactions to specific Thought Forms. This has certainly been corroborated by my nineteen years of professional healing practice.
So assuming that the experts are correct in saying that Thought Forms are immortal and can never be destroyed, how do we escape this multi-life sentence? Are we chained to the grindstone of the Karmic wheel, forever doomed to the content of our programs? Luckily as I mentioned above, there is a way, and that is by starving those Thought Forms we do not consciously choose and replacing them with those we do. Since happy, loving thoughts have more power, they can displace or overshadow the negative ones. The “Course in Miracles” is quite adept at this for those who can muster the commitment to see it through. The one caveat is that dormant Thought Forms can be activated by the proximity to others of a similar nature. That is why certain people tend to “bring up” our issues about particular things.
The fastest and cleanest way that I have found, is to simply ask Divinity to correct or shift the situation. It’s that simple and yet it is not the easiest thing to do. It requires a genuine surrender of control and attachment to the outcome. Its effectiveness is also affected by the clarity of intention. I have people that I work with who use this for themselves and yet call for help with particularly sticky situations. It’s not some magic that I possess, but rather that I can see the situation clearly and see the change happening. I have no doubt as to what miracles are possible. I have seen too many to doubt, and that knowing is deep within me or rather my field.
