Are you frustrated with the stresses of life in the recession zone?  Relying upon our own will to effect change has mixed results, as it’s only as clear and powerful as we are.   When we surrender to Divine or Spiritual Will, we are tapping into a seemingly unlimited power source, one which can perform the miraculous.  Combining a simple prayer of surrender with one’s intention to change and the meditative/contemplative intent to open the heart’s consciousness brings us into the realm of non-duality, where pure potentiality can manifest itself.

The Energetic Impact of Trauma & Abuse on the Body- Mind

Many, if not most of us, have been impacted by trauma in some form or another. Any event, or series of events, either real or imagined, which causes significant distress to the body-mind and which the person perceives they are unable to escape or control can be traumatic. The impact of a particular trauma, or series of traumas, and its unwinding depends upon many factors, including Karma, both of the Soul as well as the body.

While we traditionally think of trauma as physical or extreme psychological events such as accidents or war, the psychological community has come to understand that repeated diminishment or other inappropriate experiences can have a profound impact upon one’s psyche. The lessons we learned from our family, often become the model of love which we play out in our future relationships. Medical issues and the ever-increasing invasive modalities can easily add to the buildup of life’s reservoir of trauma. The stress of social conditioning and peer pressure, especially in the sexual arena all contribute to the storehouse we hold inside.

Self Inquiry –The Meditative Pathway to Self Realization

 

Self Inquiry has been used for ages as a tool to help one reach the State of Enlightenment. It is the practice of asking a question and surrendering the expectation of an answer.  Nisargadatta Maharaj was given the question of: “Who am I?” by his Guru and Ramana Maharshi taught it to his students as just a few examples. There are other applications for self enquiry, some of which can help us along our path towards a more readily reachable goal; Self Realization.
